Terms of Service

Please read these terms carefully before placing an order or engaging our services.

These Terms of Service (“Terms“) govern your use of the website shinemodularfurniture.com and your engagement with Shine Modular Furniture (“we“, “us“, or “our“), a furniture business located at Shine Modular Palace, Opposite Hamidiya Function Hall, Udgir, Latur District, Maharashtra, India.

By visiting our website, requesting a consultation, or placing an order, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

1. Services

Shine Modular Furniture provides custom modular furniture design, manufacturing, supply, and installation services including but not limited to:

  • Modular kitchens, wardrobes, beds, TV units, dressing tables, side tables.
  • Office furniture, shop furniture, book shelves, sofas, and wall units.
  • Profile doors, interior doors, and related accessories.
  • Free home measurement visits and 3D design consultations (subject to availability).

All services are subject to availability and our capacity at the time of booking. We reserve the right to decline any project at our sole discretion.

2. Quotations and Pricing

All quotations provided by Shine Modular Furniture are:

  • Valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless otherwise stated in writing.
  • Based on the measurements, specifications, and materials discussed at the time of quoting. Any changes to design, materials, or dimensions may result in a revised quotation.
  • Exclusive of applicable taxes (GST) unless explicitly stated otherwise.
  • Subject to change due to fluctuations in material costs. We will notify you of any price changes before commencing production.

3. Orders and Payment

An order is confirmed only upon receipt of the agreed advance payment. Our standard payment schedule is:

  • 50% advance — at the time of order confirmation.
  • 40% on delivery — when the materials arrive at your premises.
  • 10% on completion — after full installation and your satisfaction sign-off.

Payment is accepted via bank transfer (NEFT/IMPS/UPI), cheque, or cash. All payments must be made in Indian Rupees (INR). Receipts will be provided for all payments received.

4. Measurement and Site Preparation

Accurate measurements are essential for custom modular furniture. Our team will conduct a site visit to take final measurements before production begins. It is your responsibility to ensure:

  • The site is accessible and ready for measurement at the scheduled time.
  • All civil work (plastering, tiling, electrical points) is complete before the installation date.
  • The area is clear of debris and existing furniture to allow safe installation.

Any delay caused by an unready site may result in rescheduling and possible additional costs for return visits.

5. Delivery and Installation Timeline

Standard production and installation timelines are:

  • Production: 15–30 working days from order confirmation and advance payment, depending on the scope and materials chosen.
  • On-site installation: 3–7 working days following delivery of materials.

Timelines are estimates and may be affected by supply chain delays, public holidays, or unforeseen circumstances. We will keep you informed of any delays as soon as possible. Delays caused by the client (e.g., site not ready, inaccessibility) will not count toward our delivery commitment.

6. Warranty

Shine Modular Furniture provides a 10-year structural warranty on all our modular furniture products, covering:

  • Structural integrity of the carcass (box work) under normal domestic use.
  • Hardware (hinges, channels, lift-up mechanisms) as per the manufacturer’s warranty terms.

The warranty does not cover:

  • Damage caused by misuse, accidents, water flooding, fire, or acts of God.
  • Normal wear and tear, scratches, or discolouration.
  • Damage caused by modification or repairs carried out by third parties.
  • Laminate peeling due to prolonged exposure to steam or moisture (applicable in kitchens).

Warranty claims must be reported in writing to info@shinemodularfurniture.com with photographs of the defect. We will inspect and carry out repairs or replacement at no charge for valid warranty claims.

7. Cancellations and Refunds

As all our furniture is custom-manufactured to your specifications, our cancellation and refund policy is as follows:

  • Before production begins: Cancellations within 48 hours of order confirmation are eligible for a full refund of the advance. After 48 hours, a cancellation fee of up to 20% of the order value may be deducted to cover design and material procurement costs.
  • After production begins: No refund of the advance is possible once manufacturing has commenced, as the materials are customised exclusively for your order.
  • Design changes: Design modifications after production has begun will be accommodated where feasible and may be charged additionally.

In the event of a defective or incorrect item delivered by our error, we will repair or replace the item at no cost to you. Approved refunds will be processed within 7–14 working days via the original payment method.

8. Intellectual Property

All content on this website — including text, images, logos, design concepts, 3D renders, and layouts — is the property of Shine Modular Furniture and is protected under Indian copyright law. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use our content for commercial purposes without our written permission.

Design concepts and 3D drawings prepared by us for your project remain our intellectual property until full payment is received.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable Indian law, Shine Modular Furniture shall not be liable for:

  • Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our services.
  • Loss of profit, revenue, or business opportunities.
  • Delays or failures caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control (force majeure), including natural disasters, labour disputes, or supply chain disruptions.

Our total liability in any matter related to these Terms shall not exceed the total amount paid by you for the specific order giving rise to the claim.

10. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall first be attempted to be resolved amicably. If unresolved, disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Latur, Maharashtra, India.

11. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. The revised Terms will be posted on this page with an updated “Last Updated” date. Continued use of our services after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
